I’m excited to share that I’m transitioning my practice into the MDVIP model! This means I’ll have fewer patients (450 instead of 3,000) so that we can spend more time together, really investing in prevention and lifestyle now so that we can stay healthy for a long time.

The highlight of this model is the Annual Wellness Program (AWP), which is a two day health event patients have each year. This includes extra testing beyond what insurance typically covers, plus ample time to interpret the results of the tests and make a precise, individualized plan. The goal of the new practice built around the AWP is for us to catch things early and make changes before it’s too late. Of course, being part of a smaller practice allows patients to have same day availability, timely appointments that aren’t rushed, and very detailed care coordination from staff, but I really want to emphasize how valuable the AWP is for patients.
